Callixto Style: The Colour Purple

Purple is a funny colour.  There are people that absolutely LOVE purple.  My mother is one of them.  For a couple of years in the early 2000s she ONLY wore purple.  I mean top, bottom, coats, scarves, maybe even her underwear was purple.  I was once on a bus in London, and my peripheral vision saw this bundle of purple get into the bus.  And I thought, is that my mother?  Who else would be wearing a purple winter coat?  And yes it was her.  I have been ambivalent about that colour ever since, but recently I have been very drawn to Amethysts... which are purple.....
